How Sculptra® Works
The active ingredient in Sculptra® is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible material that has been safely used in medicine for decades. When injected into the deeper layers of the skin, it stimulates fibroblasts—the cells responsible for producing collagen. Over time, this rebuilds the skin’s underlying structure, improving elasticity and restoring a more youthful appearance.
Small amounts of product are placed at multiple points for an even, balanced outcome. While the skin may look fuller immediately after treatment, this is temporary and caused by the water content of the product. The real results develop gradually as your own collagen takes over.

Aftercare
To achieve the best results, you’ll be asked to follow the “5-5-5” rule: massage the treated areas for five minutes, five times a day, for five days. This helps distribute the product evenly and reduces the chance of small nodules forming.
